Uses: 2-ethylhexanoyl chloride is an active intermediate used in the production of agricultural chemicals and pharmaceuticals and may also be used in manufacturing peroxyesters
Handling and Storage:

Store 2-ethylhexanoyl chloride in a a cool, dry, well-ventilated area to reduce the accumulation of toxic gases.
Keep 2-ethylhexanoyl chloride away from water and all heat and ignition sources to prevent fire or explosions.
Transfer 2-ethylhexanoyl chloride from container to storage tank or reactor using teflon plastic-lined or glass-lined piping, valves and pumps.
